9.8kW Solar Panel Installation in Burnaby BC

This Burnaby BC homeowner says he’s wanted to go solar ever since he was in college in the eighties. “I wanted to go green a long time ago,” he states. “I want to be diligent in how I use resources.” At the time, he explains, solar was only really used for heating applications and he did not feel it was worth the investment.

Fast forward to 2018 and the many changes that have taken place in solar technology, and suddenly solar had become not only a worthwhile investment, but also a practical way to reduce his families carbon footprint.

With the customer’s needs and environmentally responsible desires in mind, Shift designed installed a 32 panel, 9.8kW system on this home which provides an energy offset of 99 per cent for this already energy conscious customer. The system powers not only the household, but the family electric vehicle as well. When asked if there is anything about the technology that he thinks could improve, he jokes that it would be nice if the panels came with automatic wipers.
